​The Sue Lin San lychee is a notable variety within the lychee family, distinguished primarily by its seedless characteristic. This feature enhances the eating experience by offering more edible flesh and eliminating the inconvenience of a seed. The fruit is medium to large in size, with bright red, textured skin that is easy to peel, revealing fragrant, translucent, and deliciously sweet flesh.

The development of the Sue Lin San lychee is the result of many years of selective cross-pollination and has not been genetically modified. This variety was introduced to Australia through the efforts of individuals like Tibby Dixon, who played a significant role in importing and evaluating new lychee cultivars to benefit the Australian lychee industry

In terms of cultivation, the Sue Lin San lychee is a semi-dwarf tree, growing approximately 2-3 meters tall, making it suitable for smaller orchards or home gardens. It is a mid-season fruiting variety, typically ripening between January and March in Australia.
